Hi, I'm Edward Sree, and welcome to all things Catholic, where real faith meets real life.

Hi, and welcome to the special edition of all things Catholic.

0:15.5

I'm your host, Edward Sree, and I'm excited for you to hear the second half of our conversation

0:19.8

on marriage with my wife Beth and father Mike Schmitz from the Seek 23 conference.

0:24.5

So without further ado, let's jump into it.

0:27.9

What you're describing, go ahead to the four things that he mentions that he can fall into.

0:32.2

The first man that you can fall into.

0:34.5

And then how we want to have the ratio of seven to one, that's just fascinating that here is

0:37.8

1:06.8

you marry to someone you can contend with, not simply someone who just agree with everything you say

1:11.2

and think that you're perfect, but go back to it. But the whole process though, I think that's

1:14.6

what the sacrament is doing. It's changing our hearts to love like Jesus. Jesus is not three to

1:20.7

one, seven to one, eleven to one. He's infinite. And it's perfect love. Now, none of us are going to

1:26.6

get there in this lifetime, but grace really does change our hearts. You probably go into the marriages,

1:32.2

as you get into it and things get hard, you may have moments where it is more two to one, three to

1:37.0

one or something like that. But through the sacrament, God changes our heart to love like He loves

1:42.2

on Good Friday, where He's patient when the other person is frustrating us. He was misunderstood. He
