Summary

Welcome to part 2 of the podcast “Debra Messing The Activist”. On this show we talk about our recent mission trip to Rwanda to see for ourselves the reality of living as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as the status of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Spoiler alert, we talk about me finding out I have skin cancer and how cancer effects others around the world and the inefficiencies of the healthcare system.

0:57.1	Okay, well, let's begin with the fact that I just found out that I have skin cancer.

1:08.1	And it was flagged and became a point of contention in Rwanda.

1:14.9	So I am sitting on the airplane going to meet you in Kagali in Rwanda.
1:20.3	And I look down at my shoulder and I'm like, huh, that looks a little funky.
1:25.5	And, you know, what you do is you, I think when you go on these trips, it is a time for self-reflection.
