The dynamic of modern day earnings is very different to man provider, woman, you know,

homemaker.

What about in Islam? Because you seem to come from a very traditional viewpoint of you're

the provider, she's the homemaker.

That's how it should be. Now in Islam, a woman has a right to work. She can work. But the problem we're

saying in regular relationships that I'm aware of is when a man isn't the breadwinner, and the

woman is equally earning as much as him, if not more than him, for those traditional roles to be

upheld, she's like, you think I'm cooking cleaning for you when I'm also working

the same hours?

Of course.

They're not happy for that and not saying that they should be, but I'm just saying that's

the general attitude.

So is that a similar problem in Islam?

So the cooking clean thing in Islam, she doesn't have to.

We see couples regularly though, religious and not religious, where the woman is more dominant, the woman is more assertive. And we're saying more and more. And this is problematic. Women have a lot more power than they've ever have in regards to divorces. So when you're talking about a dowry, for example, this is a bit similar to what people are going through with divorces, where when a man knows he's got everything to lose in the event of a divorce,

and a woman has everything to gain, which is unequivocally the way it is. Yeah. The power that's been given to women is to such an extent, now they're abusing it. But at the same time, they are suffering it. They are suffering. Because the thing is they are initiating divorces more, 80%. If they are if they have some sort of a career it goes to 90%.

And that's a reason why in Islam the power of divorce is given to a man. So, for example, this doesn't mean, because if you're Jewish, there's something called the get. I heard that, yeah? So if you don't get the get, yeah, you are not going anywhere. You are stayed married a person, not in Islam. In Islam, the one has a right to divorce.

So, but in Islam, the man can say talak. Talak means I divorce you. He has three times where he can use it. So if he says talak in an argument, okay, they're divorced, but they make up. No problem. That's fine. He says talak again. They make up again. Now if the third time he says talak that marriage is over. So what about legally?

How does that work legally? Is it the same as any other marriage? What do you mean by legal? So as in like you're about to get, you know, wrecked in the courts? Is this happening to Muslim men? Oh yes, 100%. Oh my gosh, there are a woman, Muslim women, where if the husband said, okay, let's legislate by God's law, they don't want to know no God's law. Now it's like, no, the government. Oh, I'm telling you, these are women who are in hijab, who read the Quran every night, who pray. And when it comes to this matter, they don't give a damn about no Islam no
