Summary

The crew are faced with an antagonist whose powers and purpose defy explanation. Confident in the power of data, Marion is determined to understand their predicament through science, while Marcus suspects social subterfuge from their stowaway. But Sam’s conversation with it leads him to a more metaphysical conclusion.
