Now, this part of my story is hard to explain.

I think that I still don't fully understand why I suddenly

stopped being obsessed with Usha. For the first time since she had been brought to the center,

I was not eager to be with her or even to think about her. This is strange, right?

Almost as if a spell had been broken by what she had said.

But that makes it sound too harsh, as if Usha was not spellbinding, because she was, she really was.

She still is.

I know this is probably not what you want to hear at this point. And it is

definitely not what the movie portrayed, but this is what happened. For the first time in a long

time, I turned to reality instead of to Usha. And my life was a mess.

Audrey had left, and while I did not want to be in a romantic relationship with her anymore,

I did want her close to me as a friend.

My best friend.

And now?

We were totally disconnected.
