Leah was afraid to breathe.

She couldn't believe the VP of research and development of Sanders Teg

was sleeping right next to her in the same bed.

Or pretending to sleep, she wasn't sure, but this was unreal.

Leah was laying on her back, as quiet as she could be, staring at the ceiling.

She guessed it was about 1 a.m., so they still had a couple of hours to go before she could escape this awkward situation. Leah was not a difficult person.

She adapted to most situations with a smile. She rarely got angry over small things like a cat

being laid or a hotel room missing a bed. But this time, this time, she was really pissed off.

Who the hell booked two rooms for four people?

Leah first thought maybe the living room had some sort of extra bed

and counted as a third bedroom.

But then, Emily pointed out there should be four rooms, not three. The only reason

three would do is because Jordan didn't get to France in time. They decided to wait for the

bed and breakfast owner to come back. Maybe he could help out in some way. Maybe there was another

house nearby. Maybe somebody just made a mistake.

The owner turned out to be a she. The lady arrived about an hour later, out of breath and very

apologetic. I am so, so sorry. I was getting things ready, and my dog ran away.

So I left a note and I went after him.

Leah immediately forgot about their own questions and worried about the dog.

She even interrupted Emily, who was starting to say something,
