Welcome everyone to the 2020 edition of our annual Turks and Jerks celebration. I'm John

Adarola joined by Jank Eugur and J.R. Jackson, although we'll have some other awesome guests.

We're going to be joining us along the way. Jank, I definitely want to talk a little bit about

the history of Turks and Jerks, but for people who might be watching this for the first time,

this is effectively like in the political context, our lighter take on the next. We get to talk

about the worst people and eventually the best people and make a little bit of a game out of it.

In this year, we've really tried to involve the audience as much as possible. We had rounds of voting

on all of these different potential jerks and Turks. And so we're going to be going through some

of those brackets, but really fast before we get into all of that, how did you originally come

about the idea of doing this and how long has it been going on? So that's an excellent question

for how long it's been going on. I don't remember. I've looked that up, but it's been a long time.

And I think that Ben and I came up with it when we were talking about, it must have just come

out organically when we were talking about, hey, we should probably, this is totally made up. Let me

preface it that way. Wouldn't it be great if Fox News started a second of that way? This is totally

made up voter fraud in Georgia. It's unacceptable. Yeah. So my non-regulation, but assumption based

on how the show used to go back in the day is that Ben probably said at some point

that guy's amazing. He should be like Turk of the year. And then we're like,

because as soon as you think of Turk of the year, you immediately think of Turk of the year.

So to this day, Ben is still furious that we don't spell Turk of the year, J-U-RK.

He's like, what's the point of this segment if you're not doing it with a U?

Well, I mean, alternatively, it could be T-E-RK, but one of those two things definitely should have been done.
