Welcome to parsing immigration policy, the podcast of the Center for Immigration Studies. My name is Mark

Crickory, an executive director of the center. And this is our

year-end wrap-up podcast. Now, we're going to be posting this January 1st. So in a sense,

it's sort of the first podcast of 2026, but what we're going to be doing is taking a look back

at this year, a pretty eventful year with regard

to immigration policy.

And we have with us Jessica Vaughn and Art Arthur on our staff who were also on the

2024 year end podcast, which means that the predictions they made and the prediction I made will

potentially come back to haunt them. I don't know. We'll see. But we're going to go over those

at the end of the program. And I want to hear some predictions for 2026. But to start, I want to

look at, I want to talk about what this year was like.
