My name is Mark Krikori, an executive director of the center.

And this week for the podcast, we're going to have the part of the newsmaker interview I did with Andrew V. Preck, who is

Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration. And it sounds kind of wonky, but it's actually one of the two bureaus within the State

Department that is mainly responsible for immigration-related work.

The other one being the consular service, which does the visas and everything.

And they obviously work together in tandem,

but PRM, as it's known for short, deals with refugee issues, but also kind of global migration

policy and refugee policy. So it's an interesting interview, actually. And the whole video of the interview, including the Q&A, will be on our website at cIS.org.
