Folks, today we're going to cover a case.

Scott Peterson, who was the school resource officer at Parkland School in Florida, when 14 students were killed and

three staff members and what we know across this country as a definition of being of an active

shooter. And school resource officer, Scott Peterson, basically he's been accused in not so kind

in terms of being cowardly. They actually call him the coward of Broward. And Parkland School,

of course, being in Broward County.

And in an unusual set of circumstances, unusual because this is the first time I believe across the nation,

he's actually being charged as a school resource officer.

He's been arrested and he's going on trial for child neglect, which is quite unusual because they'll have to prove that he failed to exercise due care and even in the legal definition

that these children who lost their lives were under his care to be able to be convicted of child neglect.

Now, these cases are really have caught the, not just the imagination, but the hearts and the

minds of the American public, because we view the police as protectors.

And when they fail in that capacity, we view it as cowardice, basically.

We expect the police.

They raised their right hand and swore to defend the Constitution of the United States.

In this instance, swore to defend the Constitution of the state of Florida. And they swore

to protect the lives and the property of people under their care. Now, a school resource officer is a very specific job.
