You're getting ready to have a hard discussion with one of your children. Here's some advice from one of our listeners.

We all want to be accepted in love by our children, but I used to tell this daughter all the time,

I have two adult boys, and we have pretty much of an open relationship when it comes to talking.

And I appreciate you challenging us as women to ask the questions, because when we can ask the questions

and the Lord gives us the answer, then certainly we will respond and we will

really know and not be ignorant as to what really pleases the Lord. That was one test that I've used

in talking with my youngest son, who's 21. But I asked him some questions of the things that he's seen.

At first he was resistant, but he did give me the answers, and I thank the Lord for that,

and now he's telling me what he's seeing out there, and Mama, I have to hold my head down

because I get weak in my knees.
