Amelia has taken special interest in developing her clinical expertise in the treatment of

perinatal mood and anxiety distress among women of color.

In addition, she facilitates healing circles and trainings for birth workers in their journey to support the emotional and mental well-being of pregnant, birthing, and postpartum families.

Much of her work involves traditional ancestral knowledge and modern trauma-informed psychotherapy techniques.
