confusion it is for this next generation and for our children and for parents

especially for me as a mom of two, it can be so daunting to think of some of the

conversations I'm going to have to have with them in the next few years,

especially when it comes to the subject of sex and sexuality. Once upon a time that

conversation used to be simple, if you could say it was simple, and it was still

like horrifying to have with your parents, but at least it was still horrifying to have with your parents.

But at least it was simple.

And now we look at it and we fast forward

and jump forward today.

Those conversations are getting more and more complicated.

Just my eight-year-old daughter

asked me questions the other day about why some girls

have two daddies or they have two moms and she wasn't understanding and I had to think right there in that moment

And thankfully that's when the Holy Spirit jumps in they give you that moment of how to have that conversation at that time with your child.

But I was raised by a mom who had the talk with me

very often in my teenage years,

often said her car was her mission field and my mom would talk to me about all

things even those things regarding sex and my mom's raw honesty about life and

her experiences her willingness to teach me along the way.

All of those challenges she gave me and those conversations we had were such a gift to me.
