I was talking to a friend just last week and he was asking me, well,

how are things going with your kids?

My answer was, it's going really well.

However, there's some areas where there's things I see that would be so beneficial for them

if they would just step into, but it's not necessarily their desire right now.

They're just not aware of what could be.

And so it's not anything they're pursuing and I can talk to them but in their age 10 through 15

it just seems like a foreign language to them sometimes and his question back was well what if you ask them to just

pray to God and ask God to give them that desire and it was a great question but I

just know on these things they don't really have that desire even to pray for the desire.

And so as I was driving away from that conversation, God just said to me, that right but as their dad they don't have to have the

desire yet you as the head of the house begin praying for them for things that

they don't even know they should desire yet.

Yeah, I just wanted to ask you, like with your daughters, did you find that true,

both as they were growing up in your household and now that they're out of

your household, is that something that you still do?

Yeah.

Let me first start with the confession that of course they don't know how to pray or what to pray for.
