If you have adult children, you might have realized that trying to change them

Focus on the family and Danny I know a number of families where adult children

are choosing to live with a boyfriend or a girlfriend

and it's kind of hard for a Christian parent. So what does it look like for that mom or dad

to parent with grace and truth.

This is so tough, John, because there is very little control on the part of a parent.

This is where you're asking more questions and seeking

understanding and really but you can put boundaries on your side as a parent. We've

gotten calls on our counseling line on parents wanting to know for the holidays for

for Christmas for any time that an adult child is coming home, they said,

hey, my boyfriend, my girlfriend,

we're wanting to stay with you guys.

And that's where parents need to put a boundary

and say, you know, you guys, if that's your choice,

it goes opposite of our values in our home that you're coming to, and you

know those.

And so you guys can get a hotel or stay somewhere else as you visit.
