wife, Becky Allender, started two-part conversation about being the parents of adult children.

We know many of you will relate to the complexity of this topic. It's a category that can be so

full of shame and heartache, but it can also offer a kind of love and redemption that we never thought possible.

Well Becky and are heading into a very complicated topic, and that is, as adults, how we parent are adult children.

And one of the things that I experienced not long ago, Becky, was a conversation I had with a good friend who said,

have you ever thought about writing a book

on your adult children and parenting your adult children? And I just swore. I won't say

the specific word that came out of my mouth, but it was, oh no. We wouldn't do that to our kids.

We wouldn't do that to ourselves.. We wouldn't do that to ourselves.

But here we are doing a podcast.

And it's a bit of a middle ground, but just to start with an obvious sentence.

And that is, most parents think the hardest time of parenting is two-year-olds until you

are finished with a two-year-old.

And then early elementary schools, tough.

And then, you know, that mid-four-fifth, sixth grade, tough.

Then you get to the real tough area.

Pre-adolescence, and then adolescence, and then young adulthood.

Boy being, every period you're in
