I liked a lot of the things in his inaugural speech.

I love the fact that he wants to do away with DEI, diversity, equity, and inclusion,

which is, of course, a misnobre for lack of

diversity, lack of equality, and exclusion. The thing that has been done more to destroy

American universities than any single act, since I started attending American universities

70 years ago, 70 years ago. That's the year I started college, 1995, 70 years ago.

And when I went there, it was a pure meritocracy. You had to work your head off and you've got to get good grades and grades were blind.

And if you got good grades, you got into a good law school and a good medical school.

Not always. If you were Jewish, you weren't able to get into some medical schools even in my day.

But that changed. And we had meritocracy for many years.

Then came to EI, the end of meritocracy.
