and I'm here once again with my good friend, Dr. Peter Rollins. We're here today to tell you all about the concept of the superfan, or what

might otherwise be known as the parasycial relationship, a concept which originated in the 50s.

I believe as a result of a sociologist and someone involved in marketing. But more on that later.

Pete has all sorts of philosophical ideas about superfans. I personally consider myself a super fan of quite a few people. One of them recently passed away. He was a star of a sitcom that I really liked called Friends. He did a lot of sarcastic things. And you can probably understand that a large portion of my personality was formed by, of course, Matthew Perry.

However, who also takes the headlines these days is Dr. Taylor Swift.

She is a master and a scholar of business, a recent billionaire.

She is able to boost sales of football jerseys, even perhaps YouTube podcast videos like this one.

Nice, nice.

Yeah.

It's all, it's all tied together.

I see what you did there.

Yes.

Yeah.

And if there's one market that we need that I think would bet that really is ours, it's the

Swifty market.

But Taylor Swift released a movie.

It directly to theaters went around the system.

It got all this money and it upset people who were going to see the Martin Scoresi

film because there were little girls and I'm sure boys dancing around the floor of the theater

and screaming throughout the experience, therefore ruining the movie next door.

But I tend to think stuff like that is very cute.
