This episode I'm reading from Daniel Schuster's book,

Esoteric Mediumship, The Way of the Spiritual

Medium. When I have guests on my podcast, I read their books to work out questions for the

episodes. When reading these books, I always find such amazing information that never makes it into

the podcast, and here I get a chance to give you a peek into the book. I've put a link to the book in the show notes, and I did seek permission to record this

extract and the author kindly said yes.

So I'm going to read from a chapter that's titled Spirit Guides, and this is what Daniel

has written.

In esoteric mediumship, a conscious and ongoing deepening relationship with our spirit guides

constitutes the centre of our practice, from which everything will develop for many years and

decades. From a spiritual point of view, spirit guides are a far more important part of life

as the family that connects us with the physical earthly human density.

Spirit guides on the other hand are the first and direct access to the spiritual power that

sustains our existence. Spirit guides are not family members but people with whom we form a union

in order to develop spiritually.

This union and its objectives are created prior to the incarnation

and the life of the incarnated soul is exclusively focused on playing its part

in the achieving of these goals.

In other words, we and our spirit guides are one. We and our spirit

guides are the spiritually conscious acting aspect of our individual lives and thus also the collective
