This episode I'm reading from Carol Louise's book, The Cosmology of Reincarnation and Rebirth,

a brief history of reincarnation and the evolution of past life progression.

and I did seek permission to record this extract, and the author kindly said yes. So I'm going to

read from a section that's titled, A Scientific Approach, and this is what Carol has written.

The Department of Perseptial Studies at the University of Virginia has collected data for over

50 years of more than 2,500 cases of children who claim to remember previous lives.

Dr. Ian Stevenson founded the department in 1967 with the financial

assistance of Chester Carlson, the founder of Xerography. Dr. James Tucker is the current director.

These cases of the reincarnation type involve children often around two to three years old. Some cases include

memories of the intermission between incarnations. The research indicates that children who remember

previous lives, number one, show behaviour that is unusual in the child's family, but appropriate

for the previous family, such as likes and dislikes

for people, food, clothing, etc. And number two, show phobias corresponding to the mode of death

in the previous life. And number three, exhibit unusual play that reenacts a vocation, profession, parenting skills,

or the mode of death of a previous personality. Intermission memories fall into four categories.
