committee evaluating a long-in-the-works sale to David Ellison's Skydance media, they were about to vote

on the final terms of the deal. Sherry Redstone, the company's controlling shareholder,

she nuked the entire deal. Boom, done. After six months of very complicated

negotiations, after she fired her CEO, four board members bailed, after she extracted a bunch of

sweeteners from Ellison that would have paid national amusements, the Redstone holding company,

about $2 billion, while also providing $4.5 billion to the
