Folks, you heard me right.

Juliet Benoche is a truck driver in Paradise Highway, and she is fantastic in it, and she really drives the truck, as you'll hear us talk about, with today's guest, writer-director, Anaguto. But of course, writer-director Anaguto was committed to making a film that is filled with a lot of realism in it about a very dire subject, child trafficking in the United

States. As you'll hear, she worked with an active FBI agent and some child trafficking

awareness organizations to show the grim reality of how this crime has continued to be

perpetuated. Anna also did a great job of telling us how she navigated staying involved for her writing,

directing debut, and how there's, you know, kind of a minefield that you need to cross and

stay committed to your vision in order to cross it successfully. Without a doubt, this was not

an easy film to make, not only during a pandemic, but it's a truck driving movie, so you're moving

locations a lot all over the state, in fact.

And Anna was very forthcoming about her creative process and what it took to make this

film so I know you'll dig this episode.
