chapter 13. I am really excited about our time together in the word this morning.

A chapter filled with stories that for many people,

for a long time have maybe seen confusing or perplexing. People walk away from some of the things in Matthew 13 saying okay not sure what that means or why that's

so important but it's in the Bible so we'll go with it but this chapter contains so many keys to understanding our lives and the place where we find ourselves and grand scheme of history.

So what I want to do is a little different than what we've done the last few weeks.

Last few weeks we've kind of read a little bit and then stopped along the way to think about what it means and read a little more and so on and so on. Instead, this morning I want to read just

straight through Matthew 13 verse 1 through 52. So I want us to see the whole text and I want us to step back and

consider what it means altogether and why this is so important for our lives here in the 21st century on March 11th, 2012.

So, we're going to read through this.
