So I'm here with Megan Hart, the illustrious founder of the Pantsuit Politics Book Club.

Megan, why did you decide to do a Pantsuit Politics Book Club?

Oh, I was just such a huge bookworm and someone brought it up on Twitter and you know, why don't we have one?

And I was like, yes, this is the top one.

And so I think I made a good reads group within like the next 10 minutes and was just like, yes, this is happening.

So excited.

And we already have 200 members in the book club group. It's so amazing.

Which unbelievable to me. So exciting.

So how did we pick the first, well, first of all, obviously, I think this is a fantastic idea.

I'm also a bookworm, but Beth and I only have so much bandwidth.

So the idea that you just took it upon yourself and picked books amazing. I'm also a person highly motivated by external deadlines.

So having one more book club just makes me read even more, which I love.

And you picked a fantastic book for the first month. Tell us how you picked it and about the book.

Yeah, absolutely. So what I did when I started the book club was basically I wanted to hear what everyone wanted to do.

So what I made two discussion threads of one was what are your ideas for the book club and the other one was what ideas for books do you have.

And the response was was pretty overwhelming, to be honest, of so many people had so many good ideas.

And strangers in their own land was something that kept getting repeated.

And then when any person saw it, they were like, oh, let's do that one. Let's do that one. And the same thing for Hillbilly, LG.

So that was strangers in their own land for the first book based on the poll in the Goodreads group.
