Romo 17 million a year to announce 20 football games. It's still a little bit crazy isn't it? But anyway

we'll talk about that and in a larger sense what's the significance of that deal,

both for the new TV contracts in the NFL and for others

in the game in the radio TV sports gamer who might be going there like Peyton Manning. But first I want to talk about a lot of stuff that

happened at the combine and mostly I mean I got five little topics that I want to go over with you before we get into our

met rule conversation but I just as a preface to that I just want to tell you

sort of how the combine has changed.

If you've listened to me over the years, you probably know some of what I'm about to say,

but the NFL scouting combine has now become basically an NFL convention.

That's what it is.

Every person in the NFL except maybe for the coaches on Sean McVeigh's staff with the Rams.

He wanted most of them to or his coordinators anyway to stay back in California and work back there rather than going to the combine.

I'm not so crazy about that for a lot of reasons, none of which are that important.

But, you know, so almost everybody in the NFL is there and at the same time there's over

1200 media credentialed to cover the scouting combine that includes all the staff from NFL network all the
