Summary

In this episode we discuss the Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story, about the life of Pamela Anderson. This is a fascinating story about a small town girl from Canada who was discovered on a football game jumbotron and invited to Hollywood to become a Playboy playmate. That discovery lead to her becoming one of the stars of Baywatch, the most popular television show in the world in the 90's. When she met and married Tommy Lee, the drummer from Motley Crue, she embarked on both the best and the worst time in her life. The documentary introduces us to the Pamela we never saw in the media and exposes the horrendous sexism she endured. This is her redemption story. 0:47.4	really? Yeah. Oh, I don't even know it was that many. Yeah. Love them. But anyway, um, so this documentary that was, you know, she had, you know, she has a huge hand in it.
1:01.9	I mean, her son, her son, her son, Brandon produced it.
1:06.1	And, you know, she's the narrator of the story.
1:09.8	And so it's very, very personal and authentic and, you know, you're hearing it straight

1:18.1	And we were just talking about how, you know, the through line that she uses throughout
1:25.9	this documentary is that, you know, she she Tommy Lee was the love of her life
1:31.5	it was such a wonderful love story and and after they broke up she just never loved anybody like
1:40.7	that again was always searching for that kind of love and it's kind of come to the conclusion that she'll never find that love again and that if she can't be with him, you know, the father of her children, because her children are very central to this.
