pilgrimage of faith. Each day we will offer you space for daily reflection and contemplation

as you prepare your heart for the celebration of Christ's resurrection.

This meditation will focus on Psalms 121, known as a song of Ascent.

These Psalms were sung by Hebrew pilgrims on their way to the temple in Jerusalem for the annual feasts.

It's remarkable to note,

Jesus and his disciples would have prayed these same scriptures,

and the Psalms have an important place in our prayer life as well. So let's settle in and begin. Lift up your eyes, a Palm Sunday meditation.

Matthew 21, 9. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,

Hosanna to the Son of David,

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest heaven.

Palm Sunday celebrates and remembers the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem before his crucifixion.

A. W. Tozer said, Faith is the gaze of a soul upon a saving God.

As you begin this time of meditation,

imagine yourself gazing upon Jesus as he rides into Jerusalem on a donkey,

crowd shouting, Hosanna in the highest.

It's important to note, Hosanna means save, rescue, or help us.

Matthew 21-5,

See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey.
