the Israeli military, Hamas and increasingly between Israeli settlers and Palestinians

in the West Bank has been a call for peace or some sort of

reconciliation for the end of violence and for the beginning of real diplomacy to

address this state of seemingly endless deadly crisis.

Maybe it was hoped Palestinians could work together with Jewish leftist

towards peace and justice.

Who knows by working together, maybe there could even be a challenge to the very notion of a nation

state where all can live and love side by side.

Whatever tenuous togetherness that had been achieved is being tested now more than ever,

with the killings directly affecting everyone who once worked together for peace, who once imagined that another world was possible.
