Pakistan and India have accused each other of violating the ceasefire, brokered to end four days of cross-border attacks.

Explosions have been heard in the disputed region of Kashmir. Russia says it will

consider a European demand for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, but insist it has its own considerations.

And multiple strikes by Sudanese paramilitaries have claimed dozens of lives.

apparently with the blessing of the country's new Islamist government.

First, the ceasefire, then shortly afterwards, the accusations. Just a few hours after a ceasefire

was agreed between India and Pakistan intended to bring to an end the worst fighting between the two nuclear

armed neighbours in decades, the Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misery issued this warning

to Pakistan.

There have been repeated violations of the understanding arrived at earlier this evening between

the directors general of military operations of India and Pakistan.

This is a breach of the understanding arrived at earlier today.

We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations.
