Amy is an artist from Washington State and in this episode we talk of course about a lot of things related to painting, art, creativity.

We talk about living in the suburbs and often how being the only artist in social situations Amy has navigated

explaining what she does and her passion to people who might not quite

understand what it means to be an artist.

One thing I really appreciated about talking with Amy

is she is also a lifelong learner.

She sees her artistic career as this continual learning process. So she is constantly engaging

with new techniques and ideas and exploring ideas from what she experiences around her.

Amy shares how she connects her art to her everyday life,

balancing her family and teaching with her studio time

and how each aspects influences each other.

Amy also talks about the insights she has gained from her years of teaching art to other

artists and how that has impacted her thought process.

If I can ask you a question. How did I get on the Savi Painter podcast, how that all get

started curious about?

Yeah, for sure.

Well, I, gosh, it's been, it's been so long, it's kind of blows my mind, but I live in Argentina.

Oh, wow. I'm originally from California and I moved to Argentina about 10 years ago and I basically the short story is I didn't realize what a huge network of artists I had in LA and in that area where you know I grew up there I went to school there
