Hi, this is Meredith. I am excited to share this story with you today. We all know that prayer is a good

thing, but this whole talking to God, it can be so mysterious. I mean, sometimes we can't help

but wonder, does he hear me? Do my prayers make a difference? As we celebrate Memorial Day this

weekend in the United States, I wanted to share this story from Kyle Swanson. It's a reminder that

your prayers are powerful. Page 91 of the unfolding is the story of Captain Kyle Swanson.

Seven times this week, I had a bomb at my feet or right in front of my face that did not go off.

So again, just a testimony to, we have millions of our family and friends and people

around this country that are praying. God is honoring those prayers. God's story has been unfolding.

Since the beginning of time. He invites you to be a part of it.

Pray for our troops. It's a great phrase to put on social media,

on a bumper sticker, maybe in a sign in your yard. The captain Kyle Swanson lived it. He watched prayer

change things, change the weather, change the course of a grenade, literally save lives.

When Kyle says prayer changes things,

it's not a trite phrase. It's a lived out, seen it with his own eyes experience. And he wants you to know

your prayers can change things too. It was nighttime when you were flying into Afghanistan the first time.

Is that right? Yes. Being a navigator on a C-130 cargo

plane, we did the mission planning. And so I knew the times and dates and when I was going to arrive

in country. And so I knew when I could, you know, call home and ask my family to be praying and ask

the, you know, ask them to ask the church to be praying because, hey, we're getting ready to go into

the war zone. So please be sending up those prayers. And I just remember telling them, hey, we're
