Boy, 2020 has been one strange year, hasn't it?

And I'm guessing there's something about your Christmas celebration that's really different from the way you would

normally celebrate Christmas. I mean, Zoom Christmas parties? So for this special episode of

the unfolding, we're telling a few stories from folks who had a Christmas that didn't go the way

they planned. Our first story is about Fay. So back in the 60s, she was a mother of two little girls.

Faye and her husband, Dawn, were getting ready for Christmas. They had the day all planned.

So the tradition was you get up, open presents with the girls, then they would head out to Dawn's

mom's house. And that's where they got together with the extended family. And Lottie had one of those

silver metallic Christmas trees. That's where everybody would put their gift for the gift

exchange. And of course, they always had a big meal. So that's how they expected that Christmas
