Stephen Curtis Chapman is one of the most successful Christian artists of all time.

When he wrote a memoir a few years ago, he realized he was also something else.

He was Mr. Fix It, a guy who felt compelled to fix what was

broken, to be a peacekeeper, to make people happy. In many ways, music was an arena that allowed him to do

that. But in his personal life, he came face to face with brokenness that could not be repaired,

including tragedy that left his family with a heartache

so deep, it can't be fixed the sight of heaven. So what happens to the faith of Mr. Fixit when you

face the unfixable? Here's Stephen Curtis Chapman. So one of the things that you talk about from a very

early age you felt compelled to fix things and kind of grew up with that identity

as Mr. Fixit. What did it look like being Mr. Fixit early in your life? And why do you think

you felt compelled to be that way? I have learned a lot about that in myself, watching my own

children and kind of my own story now as a parent, you know, I have children,

particularly, you know, there's certain ones that are more wired that way to fix, to be the

peacemaker, to be the, you know, rule follower, please, you know, you show me where, you know, show me where the
