Thank you. Hey, this is Meredith Foster. You know, when life goes according to our plan, it's a whole lot

easier to believe in a good God. But when our prayers aren't answered, when we're left with

disappointment and grief, then it can be a

struggle to understand and to trust him. Dr. Sandra Dalton Smith not only didn't understand God,

she was angry with him. Today, Dr. Dalton Smith uses her experience to help women live

happier, healthier, more productive lives. She's an author and speaker. She's host of the I Choose My Best

Life podcast. But before all that, she was a young woman carrying a heavy load of resentment toward God.

My journey with God, I feel like started from birth. My mother died soon after childbirth.

So I came into the world with a situation where my dad was in

the military, he was in the army, he and his wife went in to have a newborn. He left a widow with a

newborn. And so my journey kind of was framed around that because everything from that moment was

different. How I view God, how I view life, how I view death.

You know, I remember as a child, I can remember as early as, I'd probably say like the kindergarten
