It meant I had to start feeling the things that I didn't want to deal with.

God's story has been unfolding.

Since the beginning of time.

He invites you to be a part of it.

Hi, this is Meredith Foster.

Very few of us go through life without experiencing some type of trauma,

but many of us have no idea how to deal with it in a healthy way. Unresolved trauma can lead to anxiety, depression, addiction, all kinds of unhealthy coping mechanisms. Julie

Dennison experienced some really hard things as a young girl. Some of those things were obvious,

and some were known only to her. She didn't know how to deal with what

she felt inside. And so she grew dependent on things that eased her pain. But that dependency had a

price for Julie and for the people she loved. I was raised in a Christian home, two brothers, one sister. Mom and dad took us to church every Sunday

and every Wednesday that I can remember. They had us in musicals and different things at church

as a child. And what I didn't know then that I know now is that I was learning scripture.

And I really didn't have a relationship with Jesus,

but I knew he was there. I knew he was real. And I accepted him to be my savior at the age of five.

And it was just one of those things that there was no doubt in my mind that he was who he was.
