Usually it comes after we've acknowledged something about ourselves that maybe we don't like,

but it seems impossible to change.

For Natalie Twaddell, it was being fearful, anxious.

I'm just a control freak, she would say.

She felt justified in that, and no one would argue her right to be afraid.

She had walked through a devastating loss, and that had cemented the

belief that the next bad thing is just waiting to happen. But living that way is exhausting.

She wanted to change, but she felt no hope because that's just who she was.

I had met Drew, and I had known the Lord about two years.

And we met and got married pretty young, which I look now, and I think it was the Lord's grace in giving us the time that we had together.
