God's story has been unfolding.

Since the beginning of time.

He invites you to be a part of it.

From 1975 to 1979, Cambodia was ruled by the radical communist group, the Khmer Rouge. It was a time of horror,

bloodshed, and genocide. It's among the darkest periods in human history when nearly a quarter of the population of Cambodia, about two million people, died. When the Khmer Rouge took over,

Darth Lee was only seven years old. Separated from his family, he experienced

atrocities that most of us can't even imagine. I think Darth's story is an important one to hear,

but if you're listening in the car or someplace where kids can hear, you're probably going to want to

wait and listen another time. This story includes violence, torture, and death.

It's a very heavy story, but also an incredibly hopeful one. It's a story that illustrates

the verse in Genesis that says, what was meant for harm. Even one of the most evil chapters

in human history, God can turn for good. In the 60s and in early 70s, the war kind of taken place in this part of the world that

come to be known as the Vietnam War.
