We did this out. Packers defense coordinator Jeff Haffley was asked about the difficulty of stopping screen passes within his answer.

He mentions how screens are one of the leading play calls for explosive plays in the NFL this season.

Funny how some of those people don't think explosive plays are even important,

but here we go.

And you've got to look at each screen individually.

I mean, in one screen. But all the screens on Madden look the same. We're too high shell and we should have two players vice it. On another one, we were in man coverage and whoever had that guy in man stepped up and then cover his man out and we should have been all over that one. And then there's coverages where you might be pushing a coverage over and you're left one one on the backside of a screen and it's not a really good call right so you can find yourself

like there's certain down distances where all right i got a good feeling a screen is coming and

you can be dialed into it and they can still block it up but you got more people around the ball

to give yourself a better chance to get the ball down.

Then there's some that kind of surprise you a little bit in different field zones and different down distances where they haven't run them as much.

And the key is a lot of the time, the key is the retrace of your defensive line, right?
