It is December 29th as we're quickly approaching the new year. Hopefully everybody had an awesome Christmas. We're going to continue to talk Packers as we come down to stretch here. Obviously, stepping into week 18, we want to step back just a second and talk a little

week 17 as Matt LaFleur gave, I wouldn't call it an explanation, but he was being hammered

with questions about why the run defense struggled so bad against the Baltimore Ravens,

and specifically Derek Henry, as you know, the team didn't struggle as much against our backup quarterback.

Derek Henry ran absolute rough shot all over the Packers' run defense.

It was a little bit mind-boggling to me, too, going into that game.

I know I looked at it like we match up pretty good against Baltimore.

If they want to run the ball, we can stop the run.

And it was really, really odd to see the space that he had. Now, you got to couple that with the injuries, obviously. But there was some stuff schematically that just didn't look right to me. And the thing that I noticed, and we'll get into it in great detail as we hear Matt LaFourke, kind of explain everything here in a second through his press conference yesterday. It just seemed like, you know, with Derek Henry, there's a one cut and go aspect.

He loves to set up that first cut. And then he's got just crazy burst, actually crazy speed for a guy

his size. And there was just too much space there early in the run for him to create the momentum.

And that's something you cannot allow him to do. You've got to really swarm him early. So when he makes that first cut, he's going to fall forward three yards, right? And we've stopped him in the past when he was with Tennessee, I believe it was. But when he makes that first cut, you've got to make sure that you're hitting him at the line of scrimmage or behind a lot of scrimmage because he's going to carry you for three yards. So if he gets a lot of momentum going, obviously that's where he can do some damage. So we will talk about that, all right, and what Matt LaFlor had to say in great detail. Then we'll also talk about the playoff scenarios that will lay out for everybody. Looks like there's two destinations that the Packers could be playing as the number seven seat going into the playoff. So we'll hit that as well. Matt LaFleure at his pressure yesterday, really, really interesting to see or hear his thoughts and his comments on this. Listen, I understand there's a portion of the fan base that doesn't want to hear a damn thing that Matt LaFlor has to say for whatever reason. They think he's never telling the truth. He's always lying. And in some cases, there are situations where he's going to withhold information to make sure it doesn't put his team at a disadvantage. But the thing about Matt, if you know how to listen, if you know really what to listen for, he'll give

you a lot of detail as to what's going on without tipping the game plan, without tipping

maybe future information that that could be beneficial for the Green Bay Packers.

The portion of the fan base that thinks that he's just constantly lying, he's never going to

take on and blah, blah, blah. There's just, I can't stand one of my biggest pet peeves, and we'll get into the video,

is when people explain to you what a coach or a player meant.

He may say one thing, well, okay, what he's really saying here is he just told us what he said.
