It's been half a month since the Green Day Packers played.

But it's Game Day, baby.

I'm Alex Grope from ESPN Madison, joined alongside not my usual partners,

but the one and only Jacob Westendorf of Packer Report and Game on Wisconsin fame.

Jacob, this game feels very odd to me, right?

Because it's mid-December.

It feels like this should have been such a big game, the reigning Super Bowl champions and the reigning number one seat in the

NFC. But I don't know that it matters a ton. And I'll get into my optimistic spin on everything

a little bit because I do still have like a small dosage of optimism that the Packers can make the playoffs. I don't know why I do. I just do. But this game just couldn't feel smaller to me. I'm not like very hyped up for a Monday night football game. Where are you at? Yeah, I'm in the same. It's a weird feeling. Baker Mayfield, the last time we saw him just came on the field and was like,

didn't know names of players and was just kind of chucking and ducking. And because the Raiders are

the Raiders, it worked and they win. So you kind of have that going into this. The Packers, the last

time we saw them, it took a valiant effort in the second half to beat a really bad Chicago Bears team.

And there's like talks of positive momentum and stuff like that.

Number one, I don't think momentum exists from one game to the next. But number two, it's the Bears.

So like Green Bay, I'm convinced with Aaron Rogers could be 0 and 10.

And Chicago could be 10 and 0 and Green Bay would win that game. Like, that's just kind of the state of that quote unquote rivalry at this point. But you're right. At the beginning of the season, we circle this game and we're like, that could be a game that decides home field advantage throughout the playoffs. And you're kind of happy if you're a Packers fan. It's in bay green bay's kicked a crap out of the rams uh what two times uh in the last three years uh shan mcvay has yet to beat matt lefleur head to head so that is something uh what that means for monday i have no

idea and then you look at this rams the rams roster is depl. Green Bay's roster is not very good. So we went from thinking this was a matchup of Super Bowl contenders to two of the most disappointing teams in the NFL. So it's hard to, I'm excited to see them play because it's been two weeks. But it's also like, man, what, you know, what's the, what's the situation? what does what does it matter what is you know what is the

outcome what does all that stuff mean so let me ask you this because if the packers win and just
