Welcome into a special playoff edition of Packaday Happy Hour. I'm your host, Andy Herman. You can follow me on Twitter at Andy Herman NFL. You can find the podcast at Packaday Podcast. Appreciate you guys being here. We will still have our normal happy hour at 3 p.m. central time on Friday, but wanted to do a little bit more with it being a playoff week this week. So we'll try to get to as many questions as I can. Probably about 45 minutes only for this one, unfortunately. I do have

0:42.5

a couple of things I have to get done. And Justice and I are going to be talking at 4 p.m. So I just

0:46.5

want to make sure I'm prepared for that for tomorrow's show. But let's get started right away,

0:51.0

get to as many questions. Obviously, the big news from today, Bo Melton is going to be going on injured reserve,

0:55.5

which is definitely a bummer. It feels like one of those injuries that you can get there. If you can get through Micah Parsons and Devante Wyatt and Tucker Kraft, you can certainly get through Bowelton. But what I will say is on offense, Tucker Kraft is a huge loss, right? on defense, Micah Parsons, Devante Wyatt, two huge losses.

1:12.5

And then on special teams, which again, we... Tucker Kraft is a huge loss, right? On defense, Michael Parsons, Devante Wyatt, two huge losses.

1:12.5

And then on special teams, which again, we don't talk about, maybe care about as much until it goes catastrophic like it has gone for Green Bay in postseason's past.

1:21.9

Nick Neiman will see if they can get him back.

1:23.7

There maybe is some optimism that maybe they can get him back this week.

1:26.2

But Nick Neiman, Zane Anderson, Bo Melton, Christian Welch, a lot of course special teamers who are now potentially out for Green Bay. Hopefully they can get Neiman back. And then Savian Williams, their kicker turner too. So that the special team is also a bit beat up at the moment. And Bo Melton certainly does not how about that. Also, a lot of versatility for Bowmilton. I can't stress enough on a 48 man game day roster

1:46.4

when you have somebody who can be, you know, wide receiver five, corner four, you know, gunner, kick returner, you know, jammer, all of it, right? He's kick coverage. He's doing everything. There's a lot of value in that in a 48-man game day roster. So not going to be

2:01.5

necessarily easy to replace Bowmelt. And again, he'll go on IR. Let's start with Cora right away, who came in at 233 to get her question in. Out of the three big free agent running backs from last year's class, Jacobs Henry Barkley, do you feel the Packers made the right choice for their team? I love Jacobs, would love to see Henry on this team.

2:36.2

Well, it's a little bit difficult to know, you know, what their priority was and what Sequin and, you know, Derek Henry wanted to do. There's the possibility that Green Bay was extremely interested in Derek Henry and Saquan Barkley. And they said, no, we don't want to go to Green Bay. we'd rather go to Baltimore and Philly, you know, respectively, right?

2:52.0

That's always the tough part is in free agent negotiations, we never quite know if, you know, Green Bay could have got the same player at the same price. Or maybe we could have had Derek Henry, but it would have cost, you know, five million more per year if he was, maybe there's a Green Bay tax or whatever.

3:08.9

I don't know. Maybe like JJ Watt the other, you know, week said he wanted to come to Green Bay. Maybe Derek Henry and San Juan both would have died to be in Green Bay. We just don't know the answer to that. If there was the legitimate choice between Henry, Barclay and Jacobs, I think you can make the argument that Barclay and Henry would have been the better way to go.

3:24.2

But, you know, you have to be really satisfied with what Josh Jacobs has given this team. And he's been a huge locker room guy as well. And I think just about everyone should be happy that he's been a Green Bay Packer over these last two years. Love Jacob Morley's comparison of the offense with and without Zach Tom.

3:27.3

Didn't realize just how drastic it was, especially the record.

For those who do not know what my good friend Cooper is talking about here,
