Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 where two days removed, it still happened.

Sorry to any Chicago fan that just stumbled on to this podcast, but you did not beat the Green Bay Packers,

and I'm not sure that you ever will at this rate.

The Packers win 38 to 20 in a game that was not nearly as close as even the final

score might suggest the Packers basically, I think Sean Clifford played the last decent portion

of the fourth quarter and Green Bay was just playing soft to kind of run the clock out there at the

end. But it was 3814 at one point and a dominant, emphatic statement by the new era

of the Green Bay Packers. The way that I kind of worded it was, it's a new era in Green Bay,

and you would have to forgive anybody in the city of Chicago for wondering what the hell it is

exactly that's supposed to be new, because this is the same old story, as noted in the pre-show meeting here,

the Chicago Bears have not won against Green Bay since 2018.

That was when Joe Philbin was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers on an interim basis.

And the brother of my co-hosts, Christian Watson, my co-hosts is Trey Watson, was probably like

a freshman in college. Trey, you could confirm that, I guess, but it's been a minute.

Yeah, I think he was a what, registered freshman in 2018 because he was a class of 2017.

So it's been a very long time, right?

And it feels like, you know, like you said, while some things change,

some things remain the same.

And the Packers beat the Bears.

That just is one of those things.
