Summary

(00:00-24:56) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison celebrating the Toronto Blue Jays advancing to the World Series last night. They also congratulate Aaron Nesmith on the much-deserved contract extension and explain his importance to the Pacers. Also, they discuss what it means for Bennedict Mathurin that he didn’t get an extension.

(24:56-37:55) – With Aaron Nesmith staying with the Pacers for another two years, Jake explains what he loves about his game the most. He believes that he has become a fan favorite because his path to success embodies the state of Indiana and what it means to be a Hoosier.

(37:55-47:11) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie comparing Pacers players to Colts players in terms of their role and impact on each team.

(47:11-1:13:55) – As Jake and Eddie await Stephen Holder’s appearance on the show, they discuss who the good teams are in the NFL. They discuss that because of the haters that say the Indianapolis Colts haven’t played anybody good yet and that they still can’t buy into the success. Would it take the Colts defeating the Chiefs on the road to finally be considered a contender?

(1:13:55-1:24:44) – Curt Cignetti’s team looks to remain undefeated this weekend by defeating the UCLA Bruins. Cignetti praised the job that the coaching staff has done to get things turned around and Jake plays the comments Cignetti made yesterday.

(1:24:44-1:36:07) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder makes a brief appearance on the show to provide an update on some of the injured Colts players from Sunday’s win over Los Angeles. He also accesses whether the Colts will use the franchise tag this offseason on Daniel Jones or Alec Pierce and doesn’t believe that Chris Ballard will make a trade ahead of the deadline.

(1:36:07-1:58:26) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins the show to preview the start of the season for the Indiana Pacers with Jake Query. How many points will Bennedict Mathurin average? What all went into the Pacers decision to not extend him? Plus, Scott identifies who could be a surprising team in the NBA this season.

(1:58:26-2:12:18) – ESPN’s Bobby Marks joins Query & Company to share his thoughts on the extension the Pacers were able to sign Aaron Nesmith to yesterday. He highlights why Jaden Ivey and Bennedict Mathurin didn’t receive extensions before the deadline, lists some of the things he likes and doesn’t like about the current state of the Pacers, and believes the Toronto Raptors are a sleeper team in the Eastern Conference.

(2:12:18-2:20:13) – Today’s show closes out with Jake and Eddie discussing the new technology at grocery stores to prevent shoplifting. Plus, JMV joins the guys in studio to preview his show!
