Summary

(00:00-24:03) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jimmy Cook and James Boyd filling in for Jake Query by recapping the disappointing performance by the Indiana Pacers against the Milwaukee Bucks. They get into the Rick Carlisle rotations briefly, Tyrese Haliburton’s lack of aggressiveness offensively, and how some players looked like they were nervous in their first playoff performance.

(24:03-43:53) – The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Jim Owczarski joins Query & Company to give his perspective on the game one dominating win for the Bucks, agrees with Jimmy that people forget how good Khris Middleton has been for Milwaukee in the playoffs, explains how the Bucks defense has improved since the last time the two teams faced off, provides an update on where Giannis is at right now with his calf strain, and if the Bucks would consider resting Giannis a little longer if they take a 2-0 advantage in the series.

(43:53-50:11) – Hour one concludes with Jimmy, James, and Eddie sharing what they would do with the Pacers rotation moving forward after Rick Carlisle’s rotations received a lot of questioning last night.

(50:11-1:17:27) – The IndyStar’s Dustin Dopirak joins the program to share his thoughts on how the Indiana Pacers performed last night against the Milwaukee Bucks, states that he thinks they really settled in the second half and expects them to play their brand of basketball in game two, assesses if the team is looking at last night’s loss as a missed opportunity with Giannis not playing, believes that Doug McDermott might be a part of the rotation still if they’re struggling to miss shots, and debates if Haliburton managing his unselfishness the way the Pacers can win the series.

(1:17:27-1:33:52) – Jimmy and James return from break by providing an update on the health of Colts owner Jim Irsay courtesy of ESPN’s Stephen Holder. It leads them to discuss what James thinks the Colts will do with the fifteenth pick.

(1:33:52-1:35:38) – Jimmy and James close out the second hour of the show by giving away a pair of tickets for a listener to go see the GMR Grand Prix!

(1:38:13-2:03:47) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, of CBS4 and FOX59 makes his weekly visit on Query & Company with Jimmy Cook and James Boyd to share his pre-draft thoughts for the Indianapolis Colts, believes that Chris Ballard would select Brock Bowers if he was available at fifteen, states that they need to help Anthony Richardson out by getting one of the top wide receiver options early in the draft unless a player they covet more is available, reiterates that if the Colts go corner, then they need to force a pick for wide receiver in the second round, and reveals that the Peyton Manning years ruined him in terms of needing to support the quarterback with explosive players every year.

(2:03:47-2:20:23) – Nubyjas Wilborn from AllTitans.com joins the show as our first AFC South reporter guest of the week to preview the NFL Draft needs for the Titans. Additionally, he examines the AFC South landscape after the offseason moves by all the teams, shares his excitement to see Michael Pittman Jr. vs L’Jarius Sneed, and explains how this is a make-or-break year for Will Levis.

(2:20:23-2:24:43) – Today’s show ends with Jimmy sharing his JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie sharing a bet he has tonight. Plus, James Boyd reveals who he thinks the Colts will draft!
