He is the translator of the first English edition of Amphitheater of the Dead by one of my favorite gay authors,

Guy Hockenheim, and is an editor of the Journal of Gay Communism, Pinko.

And he's just finished the task of compiling and editing sexual hegemony,

statecraft, sodomy, and capital in the rise of the world system by Christopher Chitty,

following the author's untimely death.

Sexual hegemony is a major intervention into the history of homosexuality,

looking at the relationship between anti-sodomy repression

and the rise of the bourgeoisie in early modern Europe.

And I think today we'll cover some of those topics,

I hope, in today's episode.

Before we start, how do you say it?

Hegemony, hegemony?

I say it hegemony, but I don't,

that could be a British or American. Is there a right way to say it hegemony, but I don't, that could be a British or American.
