Today we're going to talk about three topics: Amenorrhea, DUB, and cervical cancer.  I thought I would do it a little bit differently.  So, let's jump right in!

necessarily sticking to the structure just that I tried something new and see what the feedback is.

So let's talk a little bit about secondary amenorrhea.

Now a menorrhea means lack of menses, no mensies, no menorrhea, right? Now you, in order to be

diagnosed with secondary a minaria there needs to be an absence of menses

for six months, right? So no menstruation for six months,

months, this deserves a workup.

Now, if the woman is not menstruating,

but she's on birth control, then that's fine.

That's okay, right? The point of birth control is to stop

ovulation. If you're not ovulating, then it's okay not to have a menstrual cycle,

right? So you need to reassure these patients that if they're on birth control pills and they're not having a menstrual cycle

Then it's okay. It's normal. It's fine. They don't need to worry about it

But you'd be surprised how many people come into the office wondering why they're not getting

a menstrual cycle even though they're on birth control.

So that's the reason, and that's fine.

Now the first thing you need to do with anybody, anybody coming in saying I haven't had a period, you need to do a pregnancy test, right?
