Hey what's going on guys and welcome to episode 34 of the

physician-assistant boards.com podcast today we're going to go ahead and talk about

diabetic neuropathy now why is it important to talk about diabetic neuropathy?

Diabetes is extremely common, right?

Now the problem with diabetic neuropathy

is that you don't need to have diabetes in place to actually start to have this type of

neuropathy or this change in sensation. You can actually start to get this type of diabetic

neuropathy with pre-diabedes and so many people are even

more pre-diabetic than diabetic that this is extremely prevalent and something that I was unaware of during school was that you can actually

start to have this change in sensation, these burning, this prickling, this

numbness, even with a pre-diabetic, right?

So we're going to go ahead and talk all about diabetic neuropathy,

but more so we're going to spend some time

and talk about the management of diabetic neuropathy.

Before we go ahead and do that I just want to thank everybody

for all of the emails for the cardiology review section that I that I'm

currently working on right now. You know I've got a lot of feedback and I think I know in the direction

as to which I need to take the rest of the book so there are definitely going to

be some changes to that first chapter and from there on we're going to make this a great review book for you guys.
