Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the Morning Mindset. I hope you're ready to get your

mind aligned with the truth of God. This is our opportunity right now to get our minds

in a place where we can receive the wisdom of God and we can step out in actions that

apply the wisdom of God in everything that we do today. I hope you're ready.

Today, we're looking at Proverbs chapter 22 verse number six. This is an off-quoted

verse, one that people hear all the time, that I hope you will stick around to learn from.

Even though we've heard it a lot, there is a lot we can glean from this very simple,

but very powerful piece of advice that God Himself gives us. This one in particular

is for parents. It's a mindset. It's a way of approaching the job you have before you

in guiding your children that will help you to do so in a way that brings about God's

best in their lives. Let's look at Proverbs chapter 22 verse number six. It says, train

up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old, he will not depart from it.

There are quite a few different emphasis we can see in this verse. If we take a moment,

so if you're a parent out there, take a moment just to dissect this with me for a moment.

That very first word, train, train up a child. You see, parents, that's your responsibility

to train your child. Now, what is training? Well, training is instruction, but it's more than that.

It's diligent instruction. It's being intentional. See, in this case, you're being intentional to

train them in the way they should go. So there's a wise direction for their life to head,

and you are training them in a way that will help them move in that wise direction. Do you see?

We think of the word training oftentimes in athletic competitions, right? That athlete

works hard to get their body in shape, to learn the skills they need, to be able to do those skills
