moving into Proverbs chapter 22 today. As we just plot our way through the book of Proverbs,

these little tidbits of wisdom, tidbits of wisdom, however I could talk this morning,

tidbits of wisdom are going to be helpful for you and for me to have in our minds so that

as we navigate the days of our lives, we'll be able to live in wisdom for God's sake and

with a heart and a mind that will align with His truth. What I remind you that coming up

to talk to you about what you really want. Now, what I mean is in our own heart of hearts,

we all have motives for the things we do, the things we seek, the ambitions that we have

and the goals that we go after. And we have a couple of verses from Proverbs 22 today that

are talking about some of those things that we may want in various times of life and

is giving us some comparisons to think through what is best and what is wise. Let's start

with Proverbs 22 verse number one. It says a good name is to be chosen rather than great

riches and favor is better than silver or gold. Now, of course, riches can help in lots

of ways. Riches can pay off bills and help us get out of bad situations. But Solomon

is telling us here that though riches are a valuable thing in many respects, there's

something that's even greater for us to have. And that is what he calls a good name. A
