Welcome back, my friends. It is time for the morning mindset. And it's time for you and

for me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's Word. You see, it's His truth that

can set us free. It's His truth that can guide us in life. And we want to start out

our day just like this moment, reading His Word, understanding what it says and applying

to the course of our day. We're going to begin with Proverbs 21 verse number three today. But

All right, let's talk about your heart for a moment. And when I say your heart, I don't mean the

thumping, beating piece of muscle that's in the middle of your chest and coursing blood throughout

your body. I'm talking about that figurative way that we use the word hard to discuss our inner

being, the things that are going on inside. Proverbs 21 three says every way of a man is right in

his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart. So what is this verse really telling us? Well, it's

telling us a handful of things, I think, that are all helpful for us as we do a little bit of

self-examination today. It's saying that all the things that we do in life and the decisions

that we make often seem to be right in our own eyes. Now, that could mean that we're justifying

certain actions that we shouldn't be doing in order to make ourselves feel better about it and

to feel that we're moving in the right direction. When deep down, there could be a motive that is

leading us astray or causing us to move in a direction that the Lord would not have us go.
